THE SECRETIVE GARDEN

Sandvika Theatre, 2011

«The Secretive Garden» is a magical dance performance created for children from age five, and is inspired by the classic children’s book by Frances H. Burnett.

The plot takes place in a secretive garden and mysterious corridors. We follow a young girl’s travels through time and space as she grows and develops. Among others, she encounters three other characters and a robin that leads her to the secretive garden.

The music is composed especially for this performance by composer and musician Ola Eseth Moen.

Artist Espen Tversland has created illustrations and video design by, for example, incorporating children’s drawings from a preliminary project between the choreographer and schools in Bærum municipality.
