Marispelet had great success in 2019 with 2750 tickets sold and a large profit. 3 out of 5 performances were completely sold out and the reviews were fantastic.
Marispelet is a Norwegian historical music game on the edge of the gorge, where the audience gets to experience the gripping love story about the strong-willed rich man’s daughter Mari and the poor boy Øystein.

Choreographer Bertran de Lis’ work is the centrepiece of the performance”
”Choreographer Inger Cecilie Bertrán de Lis adds a physical language to the production that both replaces and complements Ibsen’s text. As far as I can see, the dance functions based on Bollywood’s aesthetic principles of visualising the characters’ internal longing, dreams and fantasies. And they are legion in this production by Erik Ulfby.”
-Klassekampen 27 March 2006
